Goal Planning Monday: October 15, 2012

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ~Psalm 90:12~

I didn't get everything done, but I made pretty good progress on most items.
  1. Clean-up and organize. Progress!  The window A/C units have been removed, but we need to put them away.  Got some cleaning and organizing done this week, but the job isn't finished yet.
  2. Grading and lesson planning. Progress!  Again, most of this is done, but it's not quite finished.
  3. Baking and meal planning. Done!  Baked bread, and stuck to a simple meal plan this week.  Can't complain about how things turned out.
  4. Inventory the freezer and pantry. Progress.  It would be helpful to have it better organized, but at least I know what I've got to work with.
  5. Appointments, etc... Not done. Sadly, I still haven't done most of this stuff.
  6. Reading... Progress. I'm a little surprised at how slowly I'm getting through Hamlet.  I guess if I sat down and focused on it, I would be finished in no time at all, but my attention is mostly on the other things I'm reading.
  7. Blog goals... Done, mostly. I should have probably worked ahead more but I completed everything I need to do for this week.  And I think I did pretty good on leaving some comments.
  8. Sewing and mending. Not done, I'm embarrassed to admit. Nothing like leaving it till the
    Very. Last. Minute.
  9. This week's errands and to-do list: complete. It helped that the co-op planning meeting was postponed to next week.
I may not post for Goal Planning Monday for the next couple weeks, because I will have family here visiting and will be limiting my computer time.  Here's what I want to accomplish this week:
  1. Clean-up and organize.  Prioritize the projects that are left and get the most important things looked after before Mom and Dad's arrival.
  2. Grading and lesson planning. Make sure the kids have updated assignment lists again by the end of the week so they have some things they can work on independently over the coming weeks.  Keep the grading up to date so that I don't have to scramble to do report cards at the end of the month.
  3. Baking and meal planning. And pork product ordering.  LOL  Keep up my "habit" of baking bread at least once a week, plan my meals for this week, and my shopping list.  And remember to call the butcher to detail the order for the half hog we've ordered.
  4. Appointments, etc... Driving school and passports.  Those two things are the top on that priority list.
  5. Reading... will have to take a bit of a back seat to other things over the next little while, but I want to get a couple of things finished up.
  6. Blog goals... I am planning to set aside a little bit of time to work on this each day, and what I get done is what I get done.  There are a couple things with definite due dates that will be priority, but other than those things, I will be scaling back over the next couple of weeks.
  7. Sewing and mending.  I will be so ashamed if I don't get any of this looked after before Mom is here! LOL
  8. This week's errands and to-do list includes: choir, CAP, gym class, shopping trips, and on Friday - a trip to DC to meet my parents' train!

Cleaning and organizing never seem to end, do they? I do hope that you can get what you've planned accomplished.

I need to start meal planning again, I think. We are spending more than I would like at the grocery store each week and I think a little planning would help with that.

Have a great week!

Looks like you had a great week last week, except for that sewing (but we won't mention that). Yeah, nothing like having company coming to get us moving on cleaning and organizing. Company last week helped me get more cleaning done than the past couple of weeks when I had been lazy about it. I have some bread I would love to make and should start making that a priority for me too, but probably not weekly. I love homemade bread. Hope you week is great. God Bless.
