Goal Planning Monday: April 1, 2013

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ~Psalm 90:12~

I was so busy last Monday that I completely forgot about Goal-Planning Monday! I've had two weeks to work on the goals though. LOL
  1. Grading and schoolwork. Mostly done.
  2. Declutter challenges. Done, sort. of. I did the ones that were important and applicable. LOL
  3. Baking and meal planning. Ummm... done, I guess. I know we ate a meal every day, and I did some baking.
  4. Blog goals... Done. But I was obviously a little off-schedule, having missed a Goal-Planning Monday entirely!
  5. Personal study and reading. Not done. Not the tax course, anyway, and not nearly as much reading done as I usually do.
  6. Taxes. Progress! Almost done. Got distracted hunting down a few receipts and things, but it's close.
  7. This week's errands and to-do list: complete.
I have family arriving later this week for a visit, so the first part of the week will be busy in preparing for that, and then I will likely be pretty scarce in the bloggy world while they are here. I'm going to assume I won't take the time for a Goal-Planning Monday post next week.
  1. Grading and schoolwork. I have some grading to finish up, and report cards for third quarter to do. Today, ideally. Starting Thursday, we will be taking a sort-of spring break so we can relax (or gallivant, whichever suits our purposes!) with our guests.
  2. Clean up for company. I have a list of things that I want done to have the house looking a bit more organized before my parents and aunts arrive. Clean out the fridge, thoroughly clean the bathrooms, and tidy up the evidence of our usual disorganization. We've painted and reorganized the family room, so at least that is done.
  3. Baking and meal planning. I need to plan as far as dinner on Thursday evening, and after that I'll have experienced help in the kitchen! Yay!
  4. Blog goals... I'm going to scale back to just the basics this week and next. So the posts I do write will probably be short. I can't promise sweet. LOL I have one review to post during that time, and I'm hoping to do most of the writing on Wednesday so that I can pretty much just do a final edit and hit publish about a week from today.
  5. Taxes and other bookkeeping concerns. Finalize and file the taxes this week. Update our financial records accordingly and get all the 'stuff' into some kind of tidy pile out of the way until I have time to more thoroughly organize it.
  6. Phone calls and errands... I have a list of them here on my desk, and need to start checking things off that list today. If all goes well, I'll have the phone calls done, and appointments on the calendar this week, so that I have less of this kind of nonsense to distract me from family next week.
  7. Make a list of the most important things to do with my family while they are here. I know a few things that go on the list - playing games with Gramma and Papa; letting Kennady learn from the pros in the kitchen; going out for coffee or for breakfast a couple times; allowing the kids time to go for walks with their grandparents; enjoying a bonfire or two if the weather cooperates...
  8. This week's errands and to-do list includes: CAP, church activities, softball practice, shopping and library trips. Also hoping to get some repair work done on the van this week. Next week will have all of the usual stuff.

I hope you got all your work done that needed doing before your company arrived and I hope you are enjoying your time with them. You missed last week and Katrina missed this week... it happens.

I have some schoolwork to do too... working on transcript hours for my son for High School. I had hoped to get it done this week but I have not worked on it at all. I still have hopes of getting it done before Monday. My daughter is the baker in our home... mostly... she made banana cookies and bread today with some discount bananas we bought... they were yummy.

Continue enjoying your company and I'll see you when you link up a week from Monday.
