In our homeschool . . . the week started out great and I just knew we were going to get lots of schoolwork done! And I guess we did, but no thanks to me, really. By Tuesday afternoon I knew I was coming down with some kind of plague, so I was very glad the kids could just work away on their own. They covered all their subjects (as far as I know!) except Grammar, because I'm supposed to work with them on that. I can foresee a full week of Grammar Camp sometime next month where we devote full days to getting that subject caught up! We did manage to get a Composition lesson done this week though - or mostly done anyway. Kennady's one Science book is still missing, so I'm going to have her skip ahead to the Biology book and we'll come back and finish the other whenever it shows up. Sheesh.

We're also working on: our review of The Dragon and The Raven from Heirloom Audio Adventures for this coming week.

In other news . . . there isn't much to tell. Thankfully, all our activities went on as usual this week. Even Wednesday evening church activities despite heavy rain and some flooding in our area. The latter part of the week I just stayed home and felt awful though.

We were hoping to have another Super Saturday today, but a lack of planning combined with me being sick and we decided to just take it easy. Maybe we'll do two Super Saturdays in March to make up for it. (Super Saturdays are something the hubster and I came up with, in an effort to get ourselves out of the house to explore something new in our area at least once a month.)

I recommend . . . visiting The Homeschool Post. My article Homeschool Life With These Teens appeared there this past week, and I'd love for you to stop by and let me know what you think.

On the bookshelf . . .

Empty Nest: What's Next?: Parenting Adult Children Without Losing Your Mind by Michele Howe
David and Bathsheba by Roberta Kells Dorr
A Beauty So Rare (A Belmont Mansion Novel) by Tamera Alexander

I finished Miriam: A Treasures of the Nile Novel by Mesu Andrews and reviewed it on my book blog, Just A SecondYou can find out more about what I'm reading, and other book related things there as well.

A parting shot . . . My camera DOES work, I just haven't picked it up and used it lately! And then when I do, I get this blurry picture that truly didn't do justice to how huge and gorgeous the moon was that night.
