Homeschool news  . . . Kennady was on her own with schoolwork for the most part this week, and it was a pretty relaxed week too. We had family visiting during the first part of the week, and I had several errands to run on those days, so I just let her do her thing and started checking her work on Thursday. Yes, she's a little behind schedule on a couple of things, but it shouldn't be difficult to catch up and it will all even out, I'm sure.

Other news . . . let's see - on Saturday, Kennady and I got to go to a baby shower. Kids that have been in co-op classes I taught, or have been classmates with my kids are getting married and having babies. Makes me feel old!

We had family visiting for a couple of days at the beginning of the week. Just a short visit, so we tried to work around our usual busy schedule to be able to spend a little extra time with my sister-in-law and her husband. There's only so much we can do with a Tuesday though - we still had gym class, and Landon and I still attended our evening activities (Civil Air Patrol for Landon, and choir rehearsal for me), but due to a problem at the facility, Kennady's choir rehearsal was cancelled.

This is the WWII Bomber weekend at the local airport, and Civil Air Patrol is providing support so Landon was there yesterday and is there again today. Not sure if we'll make it over to see any of the planes ourselves; seems pretty doubtful at this point.

And we're watching baseball! Our Toronto Blue Jays won their wild card game this week, so we're following them in the ALDS right now, and hoping they can keep winning!

Got my Blue Jays hat just in time for the playoffs!

What's Working . . . the tweaked schedule for Kennady's schoolwork seems to be working out so far. Even with disruption of a family visit this week, she is staying on pace.

I recommend . . . keeping an eye on the Homeschool Review Crew blog for your opportunity to join the Crew for 2017. If you are homeschooling at least one child and you have a blog, you may want to be a part of this wonderful group of homeschool bloggers and be able to review all kinds of wonderful curriculum and homeschool products! See the post Get Ready to Join Our Team! for more info. Or ask me! I'd love to tell you more about it and answer your questions.
