Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. If you'd like to pick a favorite post from your week that spotlights a resource or activity in your homeschool that you'd like to tell others about, we're interested in those too. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope this will be a source of encouragement and good ideas for all of us.

Grab a cup of coffee and let's get started!

Homeschool news  . . . Not a whole lot of schoolwork happened this week since my family has been here visiting. Kennady did work on History a little, and of course she had her last bit of studying and homework to complete for co-op classes. I have a feeling that Algebra has been neglected yet again . . .  I guess the good news is that with co-op finished for the year, she can now work double-time on Algebra and make sure it gets done! (She gives me the stink-eye when I tell her that.)

Last day of co-op was yesterday and it was a great ending to the year. Kennady did very well on her final French exam, and on her final assignments in my Writing class. We had a picnic lunch to celebrate the end of the co-op, and those of us on the Board breathed a collective sigh of relief that we'd managed to plan and pull off a very successful full year co-op for middle and high school students.

However, I'm still waiting for my Teacher Appreciation gifts from my student. Perhaps it's best that I not hold my breath for that!

Other news . . . We've had a fun and busy week with my parents and aunts. On the weekend, my son and daughter-in-law and granddaughter were here with us. We all went out for dinner together one evening, and spent some time together at home playing games and enjoying little Veronica. I even managed to get everyone together for family pictures on Sunday afternoon! I did have to play my Mother's Day card to get full cooperation, but I'm hoping that doesn't mean I've forfeited my chance to have them take me out for dinner.

My choral concerts were on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, and both went very well. My parents and aunts attended the Sunday performance along with Kennady, so that was fun and a little different. Very glad that they could enjoy the concert!

This week we've done a lot of driving around, a lot of visiting and drinking coffee at home, and a couple of opportunities to eat out together.

What I loved this week . . .
