September Photo Album

As summer slipped away, we enjoyed some wonderful sunny weather. Thankfully, the weather was perfect for our quick Labour Day weekend getaway to Solomons, Maryland. We hiked to the beach at Calvert Cliffs State Park, spent some time at the local museum where we climbed into an historic lighthouse, and enjoyed some excellent meals in restaurants along the boardwalk in town.

Although many are back to school sometime in August, we still think of September as the start of a new school year. The co-op where I teach had first day of classes right after Labour Day.

My daughter was really hoping I'd buy this piano at the music shop where she works. I'm still thinking about it.

We paid a brief visit to the firemans carnival near our son's home.

Scenes from the neighborhood, including one of three bald eagles sightings:

And seen right around our house:

Granddaughter Aubrey isn't quite ready to open her own packs of hockey cards!

On to the next step in refinishing our basement - we have new floors and trim, so we're putting some furniture back in place.

We discovered that we'd had a leak under the kitchen sink and it seemed like the whole family got involved in diagnosing and fixing the problem!

This last week of the month, we've been blessed to be able to babysit so our daughter-in-law could return to work. Sleepy Nonnie and Baby:

Good-bye to Summer!
