Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ~Psalm 90:12~
Well... I tried, but didn't get nearly as far with this list as I had hoped. Part of the reason was that Spencer injured his ankle quite badly on Tuesday and that resulted in some changed plans. But mostly, I just didn't stick to my plan.- Clean up and organize. Progress. Not much though. I wound up doing a lot more running around than I'd anticipated, so I don't feel like I got a lot of cleaning up done at home.
- Schoolwork and grading. Not done. Okay, schoolwork did get done, but I didn't get all of the grading caught up as I'd hoped. So I guess I could say "Progress" for this one, but in my own mind that's stretching the truth a bit! LOL
- Sewing projects. Not done. My fault. Just never got to it, despite it sitting out in the dining room reminding me that it needs done!
- Baking and meal planning. Done!
- Blog goals... Progress. I'd wanted to finish some of the drafts I've got, and I did work on them, but didn't get them posted. I did, however, get my book blog moved here to Blogger (visit me at: Just A Second), so now I will have to do my best to keep that updated, and finish tweaking it.
- Personal study...Not done. Got distracted with some other stuff (like Spencer's injury!) and didn't get very far with this at all.
- This week's errands and to-do list: Complete and then some! LOL
This will be a busy week in many ways, but also one in which it might be easier to cross things off the to-do list because so many of the items are more enjoyable given the holiday context!
- Clean up and organize. Okay, this is not always fun, but I will have to work on this so we can start the holiday decorating.
- Decorate for Christmas! We are still deciding whether to get a real tree, get a new artificial tree, or stick with the tree we already have. But in any case, this is the week to haul out the decorations and get started!
- Schoolwork and grading. We may wind up with only two full schooldays this week, but we will try to make the most of them, and hopefully I can get all the grading current and update the lesson plans through the end of the year.
- Sewing projects. If only to get the sewing machine out of the dining room.
- Baking and meal planning. Meal planning is easy this week! Turkey, turkey and more turkey! So it's pretty much planned, I just need to do the prep work, and the baking. We are deep-frying a turkey for our Wednesday evening tailgate-style Thanksgiving dinner (my hubby's hockey league does this annually - Gobble in the Lot!), and maybe roasting one too. I am baking some desserts for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.
- Blog goals... got to get at least a couple of those drafts published!
- Personal study... I don't think I'll get a lot of it done this week, but I will work on it.
- This week's errands and to-do list includes: Encouragement Group, gym, choir and CAP, a doctor visit for Spencer, Thanksgiving celebrations on Wednesday and on Thursday, and I suppose some shopping too. ;-)

Some weeks life throws you a curve. It sounds like this week was one of them and I think you got a lot done for the curve you got thrown. We too are planning to decorate for Christmas. We were going to do it today but my son, because he is working today, requested that we put off the decorating until Sunday because he wants to help. So we are waiting and I hope he does participate.
I hope you have made progress on your goals for this coming week; I hope you son heals quickly; and I pray you family had a blessed Thanksgiving. God Bless.
