A few days ago I shared A Longwood Gardens PhotoJournal - Part One, and today I'm sharing the rest of the photos. We'd spent the early part of the afternoon in the conservatory and had done a bit of walking around the grounds, but we were looking forward to the late afternoon and evening, when the Christmas lights all around the grounds began to come on.
Although the sky wasn't dark yet, the beginnings of the light show were beautiful.
This was another of the treehouses. You can see the snowflakes suspended from the trees starting to blink on.
I especially liked this "floating" Christmas tree.
We warmed up a bit at this firepit near the meadow.
This is a neat idea - the strings of lights trace "roots" along the ground.
This was beautiful, and difficult to capture in a still shot. The lights seemed to drip and cascade from this tree.
Full effect of the lighted snowflakes in the trees.
Back to the "floating" Christmas trees, after it was fully dark.
I hope you enjoyed this little taste of the Christmas light display!
I'm linking up at Christian Fellowship Weekend hosted by Biblical Womanhood.
