BFS Assignment #108 {Quality is Job 1}

Assignment: My family and I rarely do anything apart from each other. We don’t really have quality time together because all our time is together. We feel like the more special moments are when we have dinner together or when we worship God together. For this assignment, tell how you and your family spend QUALITY time together.

************************************************************************************************

I am going to answer this one quickly, because we are preparing to spend some quality time together on vacation - leaving tomorrow!

Having dinner together at the table, and having the whole family gather for bedtime prayers together have been priorities in our family.  The bedtime prayers have become a real challenge over the past year, because the teens have different bedtimes than the younger kids, and they are resisting being a part of prayer time.  Vacations are the other standard together-time that we have.  With the spread in ages of the children, this is getting harder too.  But we hope that we have laid enough of a foundation of good times and family as a priority, that the reluctance and (sometimes very poor!) attitudes will be only a passing phase.

Pray with us that we all get along as we travel and try to entertain everyone's interests while on vacation!

Praying together before bedtime is something we strive to do each night although we need to be more consistent with it. It is a very special time and I love listening to the little ones pray!

I hope you have a great vacation!

I hear ya on the teen "tudes"-perhaps splitting so the younger ones do a prayer time and then do another for the teens later? Blessings for a great weekend!

I love comments! It's like visiting over a virtual cup of coffee.
