For Show & Tell this week, I want to share how Kennady has been spending a lot of her spare time lately - practicing her recorder. I have to admit that the family gets pretty tired of hearing it, but from what I can tell, that's fairly common among family members of recorder players!! She has been learning to play in a co-op class and is really enjoying it so she practices at home (which not all of her classmates do, apparently) and last week she got out the whiteboard and practiced writing out her music as well.
Okay, now she's embarrassed because I'm taking her picture:
Okay, time to go - we need to practice for the Talent Night this evening - she is singing!

Well, I'd be THRILLED if my kid had been so energetic--white board markings and all. I got tired of hearing the piano at that age, but it's ll in the Mom's Job Description, ya know? LOL

That's neat she practiced her music writings on the whiteboard. LOL, I can understand about getting tired of hearing the recorders. My kids are into piano and it can get quite noisy here. :-)
Oh it doesn't take much to make me tired of hearing the recorder! Good for her for practicing like that and writing her own music. ;)

Oh I hope she keeps up the good work ! I have heard some AMAZING tin flute/recorder'ists and once mastered it is sooooooooo pretty. Some of the pieces can get quite complicated if she persisits on learning. In the begining cotton balls are nice. Let us know if she continues this intrest. I hope she does.
Blessings and (((HUGS))) my SSiC
