Goal Planning Monday: November 12, 2012

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ~Psalm 90:12~

Last week, the overall goal was to hit the books hard and get back into a regular school routine.  As far as schoolwork, we did fairly well.
  1. Clean up and organize. Progress. I made a list of some projects throughout the house that need to be tackled, and picked out a couple of them that I think we could have done by the end of the month.  We did some work on those, although not as much as we would have liked.
  2. Schoolwork and grading. Progress.  We got back to regular routine on all subjects except science.  The boys did get back out to do the sunrise and sunset observations that we'd not bothered with while my parents were here.  I caught up the grading for Landon and Kennady and did their report cards.
  3. Sewing projects. Not done. Kennady's project needed some supplies, and I did get those, but we didn't finish up.
  4. Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Done! They are all packed and ready to go, but I didn't take them to church yesterday because I hadn't filled out the form online yet, and we want to know where our boxes go!
  5. Baking and meal planning. Mostly done.  I had to throw together a couple meals towards the end of the week because I hadn't planned well enough, but mostly I made what I'd planned on, and I baked bread a couple of times.  I even have bread dough in the fridge ready to go for at least one more loaf of bread this week.
  6. Blog goals... Done! I managed to get all those Blog Hop posts done, and fairly early each day too!  I am still behind in reading blogs, but I'm getting that caught up too.
  7. This week's errands and to-do list: complete!
This will be a full week of school, and with a break coming next week for Thanksgiving, we'd better get quite a bit done while we can!
  1. Clean up and organize.  I am still cleaning out my desk and want to make some good progress on that this week.  I've got my project list that I made last weekend, and we'll keep plugging away at those too.  One of the cleaning projects on the list is my closet, so that will be a priority for this week.
  2. Schoolwork and grading.  I will get the rest of the grading caught up and set deadlines for what needs to be done by next Tuesday.
  3. Sewing projects. We have the supplies we need to finish Kennady's project, and since a lot of the sewing stuff is currently sitting out in the dining room, we definitely need to finish up and get those in-process things done before we start Christmas decorating!
  4. Baking and meal planning.  DH and I are trying a breakfast and lunch diet this week, so that will make my meal planning a tiny bit simpler.  I've got a couple meals for the week planned already too.
  5. Blog goals... I have a few ideas that need to be written up as posts, and I think I will try to get two of those done this week, along with my regular link-ups.
  6. Personal study... I'd taken a break from studying in my tax prep course while my parents were here, but I didn't get back to it last week like I should have.  I plan to tackle it this week and set myself a definite schedule for finishing the course.
  7. This week's errands and to-do list includes: Although Tuesday is a busy day with choir, gym, and CAP, as well as a doctor's appointment for me, the rest of the week looks pretty tame. Church activities Wednesday evening, and on Saturday, and the boys want to go to the church gym night on Friday.  But during the weekdays, my calendar is open! I'm planning to keep it that way, and tack my shopping and library trip on to the running around I'll do on Tuesday anyway.

I REALLY need to bake bread. I've said I would for the last three weeks and I haven't! I should put it in my list!

I hope you have a great week!

You did great last week, only one thing not done.

I too have some cleaning I want to do. I have been neglecting my home and want to do a little each day. I hope you have success with your tax course this week and figure out a schedule as well. Have a great week. God Bless.
