Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ~Psalm 90:12~
I got some stuff done last week and neglected a few things I probably should have done. Overall, I'm not too disappointed with my progress though.
- Clean and organize. Mostly done! What I had planned for the week, anyway - I'm not "mostly done" cleaning and organizing the entire house! That will take a lot more than a week. ;-) I was grateful for help from the family to do most of the general tidying up, and I made some noticeable progress in organizing the kitchen. Sadly, my desk area is still pretty much a disaster, but I will get to that...
- Schoolwork and grading. Progress. We eased into some schoolwork but this week will be the real test.
- Sewing projects. Not done. This one is just getting embarrassing.
- Baking and meal planning. Done! Even though I never did get my New Years Cookies made. (They are deep fried, and I need to change the oil in my fryer. And I totally did not feel like doing that.)
- Blog goals... Done. I think. I will never be completely caught up in reading the blogs I like!
- Co-op lesson plans. Almost done. I have some things I want to look at this morning in preparation for a planning meeting this afternoon, and we'll go from there.
- This week's errands and to-do list: complete.
On the planner for this coming week...
- Clean kitchen cupboards and drawers. I printed out a list of organizing tasks to focus on weekly and this is the Week 2 challenge. (My list comes from 52 Weeks to An Organized Home) Last week I cleared the kitchen counters, which wasn't actually a very time-consuming task. Several months ago I reorganized some of the cabinets and drawers, but not all of them, and I have a couple of cabinets that need a major overhaul! So I will have to recruit some kids to help me with this one, I think.
- Prep the pictures and music for Spencer's grad. The planning meeting is tomorrow night and we're supposed to submit the pictures and music for the slideshow presentation. I know Spencer has picked out the music he wants, so I need to get the pictures together onto a CD and we'll be ready.
- Schoolwork and grading. Need to seriously focus on this because this is Back to School Boot Camp week and we will have to get into our routines!
- Baking and meal planning. And shaving our grocery bill wherever possible. I'm hoping that with a little planning, I can stick to a once-a-week grocery shopping trip.
- Blog goals... trying to get back into a routine here too.
- Co-op lesson plans. Finish previewing material this morning, and then work on actual lesson plans after my meeting with the co-teacher this afternoon.
- Personal study and reading. I need to carve out some time to work on my tax prep course regularly. I have tons of books I want to read too! I am reading through the Bible again this year and I'm glad that I'm already on the way to moving my Bible reading time to part of my morning routine.
- "Un-decorate" the house. I was going to do this yesterday and didn't, so most of it will have to be done today.
- This week's errands and to-do list includes: at least three planning meetings today and tomorrow; CAP, choir, and church activities start up again this week; Spencer starts physical therapy for his ankle; and I will have some shopping to do at some point.

I see you did pretty well. Thanks for the link to that organized home in 52 weeks blog. I signed up... I could use some new inspiration. You have a busy week ahead. I hope you get most of it done. We too are back to school though it seems to be a slow start. Good luck sticking to once a week grocery shopping. We haven't been able to do this. We also still need to undecorate the house. God Bless and have a great week.
