Earlier this summer, Kennady was intrigued by a collection of vintage records at a yard sale. And when I say "vintage" I am referring to 78s! She had some ideas about using a couple of them for decor in her room, and it also occurred to us that they might be something we could resell. Eventually we bought the whole box-ful of records for a very low price. (I could say "for a song"!) Over the past several weeks, Kennady has been experimenting in using the records as a canvas for artwork.
Her first idea was to use pastels, which she tried on a couple records which were already broken. This sunset usually sits in her window now.
The drawback to pastels is that the color will rub off unless there's a fixative on it, and it was a little messy to work with. We then decided to try metallic Sharpie.
She's still got a quite a stack to be creative with! What else should we try? Should we try selling some of her artistic records?

How fun! I think she should try to sell some of them. They look fantastic! - Lori
that is a really cool idea! I love the metallic pen on them. Wonder how paint would work on them?
That's really impressive! She's very talented. They're beautiful.
