So - painted rocks. Do you know about this trend? People paint and decorate rocks and "hide" them for others to find. On the back of the rock is the name of the group where you can post on Facebook that you found their rock and then you can keep it or rehide it. The purpose? Simply to spread smiles and a bit of encouragement to people.
Anyway, I belong to a group that hides rocks to honor the memory of the group owner's son, and last week a few of us got together to work on painting some rocks. The level of artistic talent varied, but everyone created some fun rocks that are being distributed around our area in hopes that they bring happiness to those that find them. And we hope very much that the finders will post the pictures in our Facebook group so we can follow our rocks on their journeys.
These are two rocks that I painted.

I really want to paint rocks regularly, but I'm all out of blank ones to work with right now!
