Show & Tell - Ready for School!

It's still before midnight where I am, so I can still technically post something for Show & Tell Friday!   It's hosted by CanadaGirl, and all you have to do to participate is put up a picture and share a little about it!  I'm headed over there right after I post to link my blog, and to see some of the other Show & Tell blogs.  It's a highlight of my Friday!

This is our homeschool bookshelf, it's at the end of the hallway, just outside my bedroom door:

Top shelf  has a box for each kid and most of their individual books:

And the lower shelves have the "textbooks" and extra resources:

And since I'm showing off the ability, on RARE occasion, to be organized... here is the (in)famous "chorebox" we started using this week:

And I'm happy to report that chores have gone better than usual this week, and I am hoping that the trend will continue!

School starts Monday!!!!!

Nice layout with your school area. I like the way you divided each child. We did the chores in the box too, but the kids like to do one room a piece. They have just liked this way the best, our girls 'teenagers' then ds whom is 9. But works like a charm on the one room issue's. We just rotate it everyday, and they do something different each day. We start on Tuesday, yeah!!!

Awesome Show & Tell,

Good Job on being organized !!! Ugh , I am trying NOT to panic about school starting. I am not organized enough. I love the magazine holders for holding kids things. I have been doing this for my kiddo's and it works. [0= Thanks for joining S&T. I always love what you share.

God Bless my SSiC

That is such a good idea to use magazine holders for each of the kids books!

Oragnization is not my gift!

Great job organizing!

I've got our stuff separated into Jumbo ziploc bags but not in the proper bins yet. I would normally put them on their desk or own special shelf, but that is all packed away and in the garage in our new (to us) house. :-) Since life and learning must go on, I will be up late tonight getting everything in order to start tomorrow. With dh's schedule (he'll be home from his trip around noon), it's just another day to us. And crowded enough elsewhere to not want to leave the house!

Have a great week, my friend! Let me know how it all goes for ya.

Love,

Marsha

The chore box looks helpful too. Where did you get the idea?
