Countdown to the New Year: Meme 1

I visited a couple of blogs earlier today and noticed this meme, checked out the blog it originated on (which is  Small World) and decided this might be an interesting thing to try!  I have included the titles of the entries along with the first sentence, and for some I just couldn't resist adding a comment.

ETA:  I saw this same thing done on other blogs with the pictures included, so I am back to add a few pictures from those entries!

What better way to bid adieu to one year and welcome in a new than by a series of memes? (That was rhetorical. Please don't give me any smart-pants answers.)

So here is the first one.
1) Look back to your archives for 2007.
2) Collect the first sentence you wrote every month for the whole year. (This doesn't have to be the literal first day of the month--just the first post.)
3) Entertain us on your blog, link back here, and post a comment here with the link to your blog. (And if you're blogless, just remember the first sentence you spoke every month for the whole year and post it here. )

1.  January 29th:  {I'm In!!!!!}  This is so exciting, I hardly know what to do with myself!!  (This was after I had been locked out of my blogger account since before Christmas)

2.  February 2nd:  {Frustration}  It's just one thing after another some days. (I didn't read all of what I was frustrated about when I wrote that, but that's something that hasn't changed much!)

3.  March 9th:  {This Week's Milestone}  Harrison started work!!!!!

4.  April 3rd:  {Read this Article!}  Tuesday is my day to catch up on all the blogs I read. (After looking at the essay writing tips in the books Harrison is using, I don't think this could be considered a real "grabber" of an opening line. )

5.  May 3rd:  {Booking Through Thursday}  Well, it depends.  (Very vague... I was answering a meme)

6.  June 6th:  {Philadelphia Freedom - Part One}  It seems I timed my hiatus from blogging rather well - although it was completely unintentional.

7.  July 13th:  {Booking through TWO Thursdays - and Late on top of it all}  This will be a challenge to answer - mainly because I don't watch many movies.  (another meme)

8.  August 2nd:  {Thank You Secret Sister!!!!}  (Now that I finally have time enough to blog, I need to do two entries today - this one that I would have liked to do on Monday or Tuesday; and another that I wanted to do yesterday)

9.  September 4th:  {First Day(s) of School}  Yesterday was the day we "started" school, although we only did about 45 minutes of Social Studies together.

10.  October 1st:  {Science Rocks Part One}  We are studying some geology this year, and just finished learning about the different types of rocks.  (another gripping opening sentence...)

11.  November 2nd:  {Show and Tell - Edible Volcano}  We finally got around to making our edible volcano.  (this just made me laugh)

12.  December 14th:  {Show and Tell - Chinook Arch}  I am finally back in the blog-world, and I'm almost caught up in reading all the blogs that I've missed the last three or so weeks! (and let's see, I've blogged ONE time since then?  Yeah sure I'm back.  LOL)

So I did actually blog about school...  I have a bunch of catch-up blogging to do post-Christmas and we are back to school next week.  I do hope to be here, reading and blogging more often now that the busy-ness of Christmas has passed.

If I get around to it, maybe I'll participate in this one too~ it's a cute idea.

This was fun ! I am glad you drew my attention to your post. I guess b/c life is so full you have to get my attention. I am not sure how that is going to be too much different this year b/c I need to buckle down with our homeschooling.

Blessings and ((hugs)) in Him<><
