THEME
The time will be changing again. I think on Sunday but not sure. Anyhow this is our 10th Homeschool Memoirs so this week it’s going to be about 10 timely facts about you! Write 10 interesting, crazy, weird, fun facts about you! Include facts about you as a woman, a wife, a mommy, a homeschooler, a homekeeper, a taxi-driver, a cook, etc . I only put 10 facts because I didn’t want to overwhelm you, but you’re welcome to do more! I just posted 101 Facts about myself on my blog, which you can take a look at if you should like.
*******************************************************************************************
- My DH and I have been married for 21 years. The last few years we've celebrated our anniversary at Kingdom Bound. For our 25th anniversary though, we are planning to go on an Alaskan cruise. I'm already excited!
- DH, Harrison and I are all Canadian-born, and we became US citizens during the past year. (I use the term "Year" loosely, because the entire process for all three of us actually took more like 2 1/2 years) We have lived in the US for 15 years.
- I have worked as an accountant, an office manager, and a musician.
- I didn't get my drivers license until a year or two after getting married. I don't like to drive over large bridges, through jersey tunnels, or in Washington DC. Okay, that's not so strange - I've never yet met someone who likes driving in DC. I prefer the metro, but that freaks me out too.
- I do not like to cook. I don't consider myself a very good cook either. I have only about 5 meals that I'm comfortable making for company, but I do like having people over. I like to have DH grill or smoke the meat for company dinners whenever possible!
- I have been a member of three chapters of the MOMS Club, have founded two of them, have served as President in those two chapters, and am also an Area Coordinator.
- I don't remember what subjects were my favorite in school! I loved studying Shakespeare, but wouldn't have let any of my classmates know it. I liked reading poetry but hated analyzing it. I didn't like social studies because it was taught so randomly, but I have always loved History, Geography, and cultures.
- My favorite subject now that I'm teaching - History. I love history, and have been trying to teach it chronologically. It makes so much more sense that way! I am really enjoying teaching sciences too, because there are so many amazing things that make me marvel at God's design.
- I am a worship leader and a youth leader at our church.
- My hobbies are: reading, knitting, cross-stitch, and music. And playing on the computer. LOL

So what took you to the US? Thanks for stopping by my blog. This is such a great way to meet lots of other homeschoolers!
Great List! I so relate to your number 5, about cooking. The thought of cooking a meal for company always made me tremble, but I am finally getting the hang of it. Didn't know you were Canadian-born. I have always loved my trips there. We spent our honeymoon at the Chateau Lake Louise.
