Today's Schoolwork - Monday, Jan. 10th

There were parts of the schoolday today that were not so great.  Math comes to mind.  Me not feeling well.  So - I decided to post about the parts of the day that were more fun and productive.  We start late on Mondays, and really had a hard time getting started today, but we finally did... we started with Science, which is usually popular.  We are working on the introductory lessons in Properties of Matter, which focus on scientific method and observational science.  Today's lesson demonstrated the difference between qualitative observation and quantitative observation.  We made qualitative observations about two cups of water - what we could see and feel - and then made quantitative observations - we actually measure the temperature and volume so we could make accurate comparisons.







Later in the day, Kennady did another HomeEc lesson - she made a yeast-based pizza dough and we had pizza for dinner.

and after. About doubled in size.

Kennady was so impressed with how much bigger the dough was after rising!







A very tasty dinner!! Daddy gave Kennady a big hug afterwards and said "great dinner, Kennady! Good job"  As he left the room, she said "he never says that to you, Mommy"

Which is mostly true, thanks for pointing it out. 8-/  Now go do your Math homework.
