Blast from the Past - Silly Family Fun

Last week's Blast from the Past was a review of our visit to Taliesin. This week I will continue to reminisce about that family vacation. After our stop in Wisconsin, we carried on to Minneapolis and paid a (too)short visit to the Mall of America.



I can't even tell you how much I wanted a moose like this for my living room.

One of the two main attractions for us at MOA - the Lego store area!





Our other main attraction was the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company where we had lunch (or maybe dinner, I can't remember what time of day it was).

On the road again - Kennady had her friend KimPossible along -



My aunts live in Winnipeg, and my parents and sister met us there.  One of our jobs while staying with my aunts was to paint their living room for them.  It was lots of fun!

One day we went down to The Forks, which is a market and historical site area in Winnipeg.  We let the boys climb around on these ---- things ----- I no longer have any recollection of what they were, other than that it had something to do with the First Nations....









There's also a museum nearby - again, my memory is unreliable so I don't know what it was called, but I found these pictures of the kids that we'd taken there:

Back at the house, Kennady got to help Auntie Alice bake bread -



We tried getting all the cousins together in the back yard for a picture - what an exercise in futility...

Just before we headed back home, we got a picture of our family with Auntie Alice and Auntie Linda.
