TOS Review: Homeschool Library Builder

I love books.  Most homeschoolers do.  I also like to own books, and I don't think I'm alone in that either.  It can be a challenge to build up a good library of books for a homeschool without spending too much.  As a member of the TOS Homeschool Review Crew, I've been introduced to a company that can really help, and I'm glad to be able to pass the information on!

Let me tell you the first thing I noticed - the tagline.... "Fill Your Bookshelves without Emptying Your Wallet".  I am All. About. That.  So who are these people who are speaking my language?

Homeschool Library Builder is co-owned by two veteran homeschool families dedicated to Christ-centered education. Our desire is to help homeschool families affordably collect books for their literary-based educational needs. We stock both new and used books found in popular literature-based homeschool curricula, as well as select titles to supplement your unit studies. Whether yo're looking for educational or leisure, inspirational or reference, self-help, activity, or classic reading, we are committed to providing wholesome materials that will enrich the entire family.
Homeschool Library Builder offers both new and used books, and all books are rated by condition and priced accordingly.  They love a bargain just like I do, and want to pass those savings on.

If you use one of the popular literature based curricula (Five in a Row, Sonlight, Beautiful Feet, Tapestry of Grace, Ambleside Online, or Heart of Dakota), you will especially love the ability to search by curriculum for the books you need!  You can also search by age/grade level, by subject, and other options.  I am really impressed with the variety of titles and the wide selection, including some vintage and hard-to-find titles.  I saw a number of titles that are out-of-print, but the prices were not at all out-of-reach, so that is great news too!

The prices on everything are great, and from now through May 31st, everything is 25% off already low prices!

In addition to all of that, you can become a HSLB member for free.  This allows you to earn Book Points for your purchases, which you can accumulate to use on future purchases.  Members can also earn Book Points for telling their friends about HSLB, and you'll receive their email newsletter letting you know about upcoming sales. Visit the website for all the details.

Personally, I'm making decisions on curriculum for the next school year, and I do know that I will need to add at least a few books to my library.  I'm in the process of building up my Wish List at Homeschool Library Builder right now so I can get the books that I need (or just want!) at great prices, and support a homeschool family business.  (I've decided also to become a member, so if you use my name as a referral, you'd be helping support my book habit!)

Disclaimer: As part of the TOS Homeschool Crew, I was asked to share my honest opinions about this website and the membership offered. I did not receive any compensation, but was offered an additional discount if I chose to make a purchase.
