This week's theme is fathers, and I'm a little short on time this morning, so I'm going to get right to the pictures...
This is a family portrait of my parents and me.
Check out Dad's tiny little mustache, and Mom's glasses. Awesome. And I am rocking the straight bangs haircut.
This is my Dad with his father. I guess Dad would have been about two years old. The picture was taken near Clear Lake, Manitoba in 1941.
And then I wanted something just a little more recent to show, but Dad doesn't seem to feature in a lot of pictures. In that, maybe he is like my boys who don't like their picture taken. Also, I do not snap pictures much when my parents are here visiting - I just enjoy their company. Then afterwards I wonder why I don't have any pictures. *sigh* Anyway, during a quick look through a photo album (remember those? before we went all digital?) I found this picture of my Dad with Spencer in 1995. It would have been right around Spencer's first birthday, and we had gone to Strasbourg, Pennsylvania. Dad has always been fond of trains, and when my boys were little they were crazy about trains too. We went for a ride on the steam train at Strasbourg and afterwards I got this picture.
I have the best Dad in the whole world. I just wish we lived close enough to get together more often.

Kym,
I have the same problem getting photos of my husband. The boys I just have to sneak up and snap quickly to get photos.
Love the collection you did pull together to share. Aren't (most) fathers wonderful?
I had a hard time finding a photo of my husband with our youngest. It seems I was busy taking care of 4 kids and when I was not holding our youngest I was busy doing things and did not think to take photos of Dad and baby. That makes me sad. We have lots of pictures of the kids, probably because my hubby was taking most of them and not me. I don't have that many photos of my dad, but a lot of the photos I do have of him have me in it too.
Thanks so much for linking up. I especially liked the photo of your dad with your son and the one of your dad with his dad. I loved the little photo corners you put on the photos... it really makes them look great.
