For about a year I've been doing my best to participate in a once-a-month link-up at Journey to Josie called First Day. It's very simple - just share a collection of pictures taken on the first day of each month. The idea is to have a regular record of what an ordinary day looks like, and to be able to look back and see how the kids have grown too. Some participants take tons of pictures and others take only a couple. Some have awesome photography skills, while others (like me!) are rank amateurs. Some share a First Day post with only pictures, while others offer commentary and explain the photos.
I've found that when the first of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday, I take fewer pictures. I'm not sure why that is. Anyway, that's exactly what happened this Sunday, June 1st. I don't take pictures during church, so I guess that's part of it! Our family attended a potluck lunch to visit with the family of the pastoral candidate our church hosted over the weekend, and I felt weird pulling out my camera there too.

Oh your first day of June looks wonderful, peaceful, and joyful. I love this - and honestly, I don't think I'd classify you as amateur in your photography. You have a great eye. :)
