May's Art Challenge: Flowers
Did you have many April showers where you live? In May, we'll be looking for artwork that features Flowers! Please continue to share any art posts on our Virtual Fridge as well - we love seeing all of them!
June's Art Challenge: Rainbows
Ready to think ahead to next month's theme? We'll be looking for artwork that features Rainbows!
It's a short week of school, and I've really been encouraging Kennady to concentrate on the subjects where she is not as far along as we'd like, so I have chosen something from the archives to share this week. During the last school year, she tried something called Amate painting, which is a Mexican folk art. Our version was done on a brown paper bag using a black sharpie and brightly colored tempera paints. And it is definitely a colorful flower!
I originally posted Mexican Folk Art - Amate Painting with instructions for the projects on the Virtual Fridge a bit over a year ago.
