SchoolhouseTeachers.com

If you're stuck inside during winter weather (like me) - or even if you're not - now is a perfect time to browse around everything SchoolhouseTeachers.com has to offer. I've been reminding readers about the fantastic special pricing during January, and since is the last week to take advantage of that, I'm passing it along again. Until January 31, 2016, you can get a 50% discount on a one-year subscription, by using the coupon code: CREWFOLLOWER.

What will you find at SchoolhouseTeachers.com? Pretty much everything you need for homeschooling. Seriously. Here are just a few highlights of things that caught my eye on my latest look at the over 200 course offerings.

Whether you need a grammar supplement or full courses in literature or writing, you'll find it in the Language Arts section. The Science section offers similar huge variety, with science courses for all ages. The Math section offers everything from extra worksheet practice to high school courses in statistics.

History and Geography are favorite subjects of mine, so the wide variety of course offerings there has plenty to grab my attention. Here are three courses I think I will do, just because they look fascinating:

Among the many other interesting History, Geography, and Social Studies courses, one new one jumped out at me that many may be interested in - A Civil Rights Movement study for 7th-9th grade.

Okay, you'll notice that I have a couple of history and geography courses I'm interested in that are focused on the Bible. Did you know that there are a number of Bible study courses for different ages at SchoolhouseTeachers.com?  This is one that's geared for teens, but there are also lessons for younger kids, and plenty of devotional material for moms too.

Teens may also be especially interested in the Computer and Technology course offerings, which include programming, internet entrepreneurship, and web game design.

We're also looking through the extensive list of Electives. Some there would be of particular interest to teens: College Choice, Image Creating and Editing, and Graphic Design. I'm planning on using some of the Money 101 course, and this one - Career Exploration - looks useful too.

That's just a quick look! I really do recommend that you take a look around and browse the subject areas for the ages and grades you have in your homeschool, and don't miss the wonderful selection of resources available for parents.
