It's been a long time (again) since we've been on an actual school field trip, and I'd been asked to arrange another trip to the greenhouse for our homeschool group, so that's what we did last week. I have to admit that I didn't take any notes or retain much of what our handsome tour guide (my husband!) told us this time. Sorry. I guess after having done this a few times, and knowing that I could go over there and look around any time I wanted to, I assumed I'd remember more. And turns out I just didn't. However, only a few things have changed since the last trip we did two years ago, so at the end of this photojournal, you'll find a link to the more informative post I did then.

There are about 300,000 pots of poinsettia plants at the greenhouse this year!

Everyone likes taking pictures, so I got a picture of my favorite young photographer.

Although the red poinsettias are most common, and still seem to be the most popular, there are also scarlet, pink, white, green, and marbled varieties. These are some of the newest that are still trials. My daughter says she planted the 'polar bear white' poinsettias.

Oh wow!! I am partial to the white but always end up with a red because I'm such a traditionalist.
