Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. If you'd like to pick a favorite post from your week that spotlights a resource or activity in your homeschool that you'd like to tell others about, we're interested in those too. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope this will be a source of encouragement and good ideas for all of us.

Grab a cup of coffee and let's get started!

Homeschool news  . . . none really! Kennady did work on Algebra and History on Monday and Tuesday, and I even checked her work! But we've been busy with my granddaughter since then, so we're on break from schoolwork for a bit.

Other news . . . we did have one more grad party to attend before the season ended, and that was on Friday evening. On Saturday, Kennady and the hubster and I went to Hershey to visit the antique auto museum there. It was a lot more fun than Kennady and I had initially expected!

We even drove by Three Mile Island on the way home.

On Wednesday, Kennady and I drove up to CreationFest with the group from our church so we could meet Harrison and Angela and collect Lil' Vee from them for the rest of the week. So I'm having Nonnie Camp this week, and we're looking after their dog too. And as much fun as it is, I think I've had a grand total of six hours of sleep so far. That is partly the reason for this late post.

I recommend . . . the National Holiday Resource Round-up on the Homeschool Review Crew blog today. You'll find ideas from Crew members on history, traditions, and celebrating our national holidays as Canada Day and Independence Day are coming up quickly! In my family, we celebrate both holidays, as we are from Canada.

On my blogs last week . . .

And on my book blog, Just A Second:

Just A Second is where I share book reviews and other book-related things, and update on what's on my bookshelf. This week I've been reading:

Delilah: Treacherous Beauty by Angela Hunt
A Brush with Shadows (A Lady Darby Mystery) by Anna Lee Huber

A parting shot . . . "Can I put you on hold?" at the AACA Museum.

Yeah, I never understood that expression "sleeping like a baby"... mine never really slept well at all. I bet you'll sleep great afterwards!
