Welcome to the Virtual Refrigerator art link-up! Thank you for joining us as we share what we're creating in our homeschools. We cordially invite you to add your link sharing artwork that's on your Virtual Refrigerator and then hop over to the other blogs and admire what's on their Fridges too! The Virtual Fridge link-up is open all month.

Once again it's the American History class that provides opportunity for some artwork! Last week we wrapped up a unit about the late 1940's and early 1950's and in the assignment choices I allowed the students to do some artwork inspired by the lessons. The unit covered the Korean War (I showed the kids the opening credits from the first episode of M*A*S*H* - none of them had even heard of the show!), the "I Like Ike" presidential campaign, and McCarthyism. So this was a quick poster that Kennady did after learning about Joseph McCarthy and his fruitless search for Communists.

Who Can You Trust? by Kat, March 2019
This week we're continuing to look at the events of the 1950s and I allowed another artwork option, so I'm looking forward to what they will come up with this time!

My student doesn't do artwork every week, so I probably won't have something new on my Virtual Fridge every Wednesday, but I will have a link-up post for participants each week.

The only thing my boys have been up to is coloring in their coloring books.

coloring books are fun! I wish I had time to color, to be honest. ;-)

Such a cute linkup, Kym! I love the idea of a virtual fridge. The artwork on my fridge these days is typically made by my daughter's students, but before long I hope my 1 year old daughter will begin her own creations for me! :)

I love comments! It's like visiting over a virtual cup of coffee.
