Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. If you'd like to pick a favorite post from your week that spotlights a resource or activity in your homeschool that you'd like to tell others about, we're interested in those too. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope this will be a source of encouragement and good ideas for all of us.

Grab a cup of coffee and let's get started!

Flames mug because my hometown team claimed the top spot in their division this past week! Hasn't happened in many years, so it's a big deal!

This week's Homeschool Highlights post is going to be very short and (hopefully) sweet. It's been a busy week, although I'm not sure I could say exactly what we did. I just know that I got very behind and ran out of time to spend on this particular post.

Homeschool news  . . . Co-op classes, Consumer Math, music, and all the usual. We really are getting very close to the end of the school year! I was looking at the remaining classes at co-op, and it's not that many. We're on track with everything except possibly Consumer Math.

Other news . . . I was fighting a cold last weekend, and I worked on Saturday, so maybe that's why this week felt so busy without me being able to identify what I did. I met with a small group of moms from my homeschool fellowship group and we got to work planning a homeschool fair for our local area. It's a big project and will be a lot of work, but we are hoping that everything goes smoothly and that we'll have a decent turnout.

Wednesday was a day of repairs - we got new tires on the car, and got our piano's annual tuning done. Landon wasn't feeling well for a couple of days, and I'm just hoping he didn't pass the bug to any of the family.

Reader Favorites . . . some of the most read posts here on Homeschool Coffee Break over the past month or so - thanks for reading, commenting, and sharing!

On my blogs last week . . .

And on my book blog, Just A Second:

Recent Reads - The Blue Castle
Share Four Somethings - March 2019
Scripture and a Snapshot - An Example

Just A Second is where I share book reviews and other book-related things, and update on what's on my bookshelf. This week I finished and reviewed The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery, and I've been reading:

The Golden Bride (Daughters of the Mayflower) by Kimberley Woodhouse
Transcripts Made Easy by Janice Campbell
A Dangerous Collaboration (A Veronica Speedwell Mystery) by Deanna Raybourn

A parting shot . . . I happened to see za'atar spice blend at the grocery last week so on the weekend I finally got to try making a za'atar flatbread, and it was fantastic!

  • Please link directly to your post, not your blog's homepage.
  • Please include a link in your post to Homeschool Coffee Break - you may use the graphic above if you wish.

I think spring colds are the worst. Hope you are completely better. That bread looks good.

I felt like this week just flew by too; I think twice yesterday I said (rather incredulously!) "wait, tomorrow's Friday already?" Not sure what made me so busy this week but I really thought I had a few more days in there to get stuff done.

Happy Homeschooling week! Isn't it crazy how quickly the year is winding down? Our close-to-the-line class is Geography! Trusting it will all wrap up in plenty of time!
