Space Race on the Virtual Refrigerator - share your art posts on our Virtual Refrigerator - an art link-up hosted by Homeschool Coffee Break @ kympossibleblog.blogspot.com

Welcome to the Virtual Refrigerator art link-up! Thank you for joining us as we share what we're creating in our homeschools. We cordially invite you to add your link sharing artwork that's on your Virtual Refrigerator and then hop over to the other blogs and admire what's on their Fridges too! The Virtual Fridge link-up is open all month.

Time for another US History class art piece! Last week we studied the 1960s and I gave a homework option that included art. My instructions were to create a piece of artwork inspired by and featuring the space race of that decade. Here's the piece Kennady shared:

The second rocket does say USSR on it in silver, by the way. Anyway, it does show the race to the moon, and I love the comic book style that reminds me of Schoolhouse Rock.

My student doesn't do artwork every week, so I probably won't have something new on my Virtual Fridge every Wednesday, but I will have a link-up post for participants each week.

We've been reading about the great space race too and learning a lot about the women behind it all too.
