Five Minute Friday - Tomorrow

the sun'll come out tomorrow

I can't think of the word tomorrow without hearing Little Orphan Annie singing the big show stopper hit. A little girl with a big voice singing a big song about her big hopes just over the horizon - it's only a day away!

Tomorrow is hope and anticipation and another chance. For me it's also a temptation to procrastinate, if I'm being completely honest. But it's also tomorrow, which is only a day away, so it's soon. It's not next week or next month. It's tomorrow, and I'd better be ready to make it happen tomorrow

Hope and anticipation and another chance and later. but also soon and urgent. It's not here yet, but it will be before we know it. And will we be ready for it when it gets here? I can hardly wait for the good things I'm sure are coming tomorrow, but I need to get myself ready for work to do tomorrow and the possibility that tomorrow won't be better. 

Hope, anticipation, another chance, and urgency . . . 
It's only a day away!

The Annie song was my first thought when seeing the prompt as well! And I enjoyed reading your post - I hadn't really thought about how "tomorrow" conveyed hope but also urgency. Visiting from FMF #14.

This isn't me...well, sort of not me...

Yeah, I'll get to that tomorrow,
there are things need doing here,
like seeing from whom I can borrow
to buy a cheap-o case of beer.
And there is a DVD
full of culture, yes, that's true,
that I really have to see,
so I'll put in "Jackass 2".
Wife asks that I move the Harley
from kitchen to, just anyplace!
But right now, I'm feeling poorly,
can't she see it in my face
that I really worked too hard
lettin' Dog out in the yard?

Those verses in Lamentations are powerful to cling to in these days! I hope you are having a healthy and peace-filled week so far!
