I Spy #29

Each week Lysha at A Camera and a Cookbook shares a set of prompts for photos. On Saturday she invites participants to share their photos in the I Spy 2021 linkup. The prompt that was the biggest challenge for me this week was a simple one - and was only difficult because I didn't leave my property all week long! I did come up with a solution though, and had a good time with the relaxed summery vibe in this week's selection of photos.

- backyard (summer - quarterly pic) - I made sure to get some day lilies in the foreground to disguise the fact that the lawn hasn't been mowed in over a week, due to the tractor being out for repair.

- road sign - Here's the prompt that I had trouble with! Turns out the only road sign that can be seen from my yard is just a bit too far down the road to show up in a photo. I was almost ready to give in and choose a photo from the past, when I remembered this painting. I purchased it from a Guatemalan missionary to Honduras when I was there years ago. And it does indeed feature a road sign in the scene.

- strip (no, not that kind!) - This is my daughter's grad quilt, featuring her guitar portrayed in strip quilting. My mother was the creative quilter.

- lazy day - Every day is a lazy day for our cats, who nap in the strangest spots.

- your choice -

iSpy 2021 is hosted by Lysha at A Camera and a Cookbook. The idea is to challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone and do something different with your photos. Anyone can participate by taking five new photos during the week that fit the prompts. Link up during the week and have fun!

That strip quilt is beautiful! I also love your simple single feather photo.

Those day lillies are just a real spot of sunshine against the green, and a super quilt. Love that cat napping on your jigsaw - I thought that was their job!

Oh, I LOVE that quilt! And when the day lilies are blooming in our back yard is my favourite time of the summer!
