I Spy #79

Each week Lysha at A Camera and a Cookbook shares a set of prompts for photos. On Saturday she invites participants to share their photos in the I Spy 2022 linkup. Enjoy this week's photos, all from my limited confines at present - my living room and bathroom! - as I continue to recover after a knee replacement. I might be able to wander a bit further afield in the coming week!

- shelf - I bought this little cube shelf a couple weeks ago to replace a rickety washstand that was kind of in the way and didn't serve much purpose. I hadn't planned for it to be my medicine stand, but it's working!

- selfie (quarterly) - I'm not as sad as I look in this one, just tired. This was after I washed my hair for the first time post-surgery and it felt like a huge accomplishment. Unlike my previous quarterly selfies, this one will NOT become my Facebook profile picture!

 - drinking - Not wine, but prune juice! I decided I would have all my prune juice in wine glasses so I could feel fancy!

 - starts with W - I thought about a photo of my walker, but it's just not that pretty. So here is a quilted wall hanging in my living room. Made by my mom, and reminds me of my home in western Canada.

- Your Choice - Last evening, the weather was pleasant and so my husband helped me out onto the front porch so we could watch the sunset. That little bit of fresh air was lovely, and worth that scary step down out of the front door! One of the hummingbirds was quite comfortable with us being so close too.

iSpy 2022 is hosted by Lysha at A Camera and a Cookbook. The idea is to challenge yourself to step out of your comfort zone and do something different with your photos. Anyone can participate by taking five new photos during the week that fit the prompts. Link up during the week and have fun!

Praying you find refreshing in your recovery! Beautiful sunset - Have you thought of chocolate milk in a wine glass? I would love that!

Had to scroll down to read why W could have represented a walker. Ugh...knee replacement surgery. Cannot imagine. Hoping my joints all hang in there because I think I would be a real poor replacement patient. Hoping you are making great progress toward a complete recovery!!

Prune juice. Glad you are able to make it more fun by drinking it from a wine glass. Looks pretty!!

Stunning sunset photos. Our hummingbirds have been very friendly this summer, too. One had babies in our magnolia.

You have beautiful hair and a lovely complexion. I am sure the surgery and recovery have been very tiresome but here's too being back to new very soon.

I love the idea of prune juice in a wine glass - I often serve chilled water in wine glasses for the same reason. Hope you are feeling better day by day and we soon have a happy photo of you. I love the pic of the hummingbird against the evening sky - super! CarolG

Photos of us don't always have to be happy. One of my most favorite photos of me is one where I look quite ticked.
