Every now and again I highlight SchoolhouseTeachers.com and talk about some of the courses they offer, and today I'm passing along news of a great special savings offered during the month of May 2018.
I've been crazy busy during the first half of this month, and some of that has been wrapping up the school year and starting to decide what's going on for next year. And even what to do about school during the summer - yes or no? At least a little bit? One thing I am planning on is using at least a couple of courses at SchoolhouseTeachers.com next year. And if you're not already planning to do the same, the special pricing this month may offer you the perfect opportunity to check it out.
Through May 31, 2018, Monthly Membership is just $9.95/month and Annual Membership is just $99 for the year. (Use the coupon codes MONTHLYOPTION and YEARLYOPTION respectively). Both membership options include access for your whole family to over 370 online courses for all grade levels, hundreds of streaming videos and eBooks, and so much more. With the Annual Membership, you'll also receive a beautiful new tote and the Summer Print edition of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine.
Today is another crazy busy day (well, this whole week is pretty busy, to be honest!) so let me hit a couple of quick highlights, and then you can go check out SchoolhouseTeachers.com for yourself.
Most of our coursework will be at our co-op next year, but I already know we will be using Money 101: Seminars in Personal Finances for Kennady's Consumer Math course next year. Consumer Math or Personal Finance is a course I require my students to take before graduating, and this course will work out great for that. There are 23 audio lessons in seminar format that cover the seven units on topics such as Savings and Debt, Budgeting, Investing, and Paying for College. (that last one is super important, right?!)
I'm pretty sure we won't have the time, but I'd love for her to do this half credit course in Free Market Economics as well.
I think that's the point we've reached in our homeschool - there's so much we'd like to do, but we just don't have time to do it all! I think I'll have to make some time to explore the College Choice Guidance course or even the SAT-ACT Math Prep class - perhaps those are ideas for during the summer.
Whether you're using the summer to catch up, get a head start, or just do a little extra, SchoolhouseTeachers.com has you covered. For high school courses and college prep, all the way down to preschool. There are some great record-keeping resources, and lots of other helpful resources in the Just For Parents section and in High School Help.
You'll find some more info in my Blogging Through the Alphabet article on SchoolhouseTeachers.com and elsewhere in my blog.
And of course, at the SchoolhouseTeachers.com website too. Let me know if you try it out!
