I'm homeschooling a high schooler!

Today is the big day... orientation meeting for those of us in my umbrella group that are homeschooling high schoolers.  Harrison is now in Grade 9, isn't that hard to believe?  It is for me, simply because I can hardly conceive of the fact that I am old enough to have a kid in high school!  Most days I don't FEEL that old, but there are other days when I feel utterly ancient.  At any rate, today I'll (hopefully) have all my questions answered regarding credit hours, transcripts, required subjects, service hours, etc.

Following that meeting, there will be a brief meeting for those of us interested in being part of the co-op classes this spring.  We have really enjoyed the co-op classes - the kids have an opportunity to make friends; they get instruction in subjects that are different from what we are doing at home; and I get some time to sit in the "teacher's lounge" with other homeschool moms.  So what will co-op look like this year?  Today we begin the process of answering that question.

Wow! an official high school home schooling mom! And of course you aren't old enough so tell that boy to stop growing so quickly and wait for his dear mother to catch up. And then take your time. LOL

I love comments! It's like visiting over a virtual cup of coffee.
