Part A: Share at least 3 "Bountiful Blessings" that the Lord has abundantly provided.
God has blessed us so much in the area of friends and family. In two ways - 1) our parents, siblings, aunts and uncles, cousins... are truly good people. We rarely have any type of family feud problems, and DH and I both have good relationships with our inlaws - how rare is that!! We also are very blessed in that our families are supportive of us as we homeschool. Or at least nobody has ever expressed negativity about it. 2) we also have been blessed with good friends and church family over the years. Fourteen years ago DH and I moved away from where my family lived (western Canada) and started over on the east coast of the USA. I was prepared to be very lonely as a SAHM, but God provided a loving church family almost immediately. A few years later, we moved to another state and although it took a little longer to find a "church home" God still provided some wonderful friends. Especially Phil and Brenda - whom we have considered as family for almost as long as we have known them.
Homeschooling - I know that's pretty much a "given" considering that this is a homeschooling blog!!! But I am SO glad that God led us to educate our children this way, and even moved us to a very homeschool-friendly state just in time for us to start. And I am so very thankful for the homeschool community here.
Music - it has been on my mind lately what a remarkable gift music is, the ability to create and enjoy music.
Part B: Share your Thanksgiving Feast (past or present). You may use photos, menus, recipes, activities, traditions...Be creative! -"Who carves the turkey?", "Do you save the wishbone?", "What do you serve for dessert?", "Who hosts the Thanksgiving dinner in your family?"...my favorite..."What do you do with all those leftovers?"
I was very wordy with my Part A answer, but I bet this will be shorter! Usually we celebrate Thanksgiving with just our family. But we celebrate twice - Canadian Thanksgiving in October, and American Thanksgiving in November. Mostly because turkey is my DH's favorite meal, so any excusewill do! DH's birthday is at the end of November, and often falls on or very near to Thanksgiving, so sometimes we combine the two celebrations. Our American Thanksgiving tradition has become to spend the day getting our Christmas decorations up, watching football, and just enjoying a day off school and work. It's funny to me that most years I use a good tablecloth and my china and candles etc for the table... and then forget to change into nice clothes for dinner!! LOL A couple of years ago we bought a turkey fryer, so now deep fried turkey usually appears on our menu rather than roasted. I much prefer it fried!! We all look forward to leftovers as we are all fond of clubhouse sandwiches, hot turkey sandwiches, and the boys' favorite: turkey pot pie.
Here are some pictures of the turkey frying crew - these were taken the first time we tried this after buying the fryer:
Part C: Post a Scripture that reminds you of your blessings!
Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.
One generation will commend your works to another;
they will tell of your mighty acts.
They will celebrate your abundant goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
~Psalm 145: 3-4, 7

We bought a turkey fryer and never could get it right. You look like a professional. I am so impressed. Great post, thanks for sharing.
