In our homeschool... I wouldn't go so far as to say all our scheduling problems have been solved, but this week went a whole lot better. The kids both put in more focused time on their studies, and spent less time putzing around wondering what to do. Landon feels pretty confident that he will be able to finish his Economics course well before the end of the semester, and he is still doing very well in Algebra. I can only assume he actually likes Algebra, because he makes sure to do it every day and never complains about it! He even asked me this week if he would be doing the Geometry course at VideoText Interactive as well. We really hadn't planned on it, but who knows!? (He is using VideoText Interactive because we had the great privilege of reviewing it for the Schoolhouse Review Crew - this is one of those products that we got to review that has become a favorite in our homeschool!) And speaking of math products... we are working on a review of CTC Math right now, with Kennady as my test student. We haven't had it very long, but so far she is enthusiastic about working on it and very motivated to get high grades. I think there's a good chance that this will stay on the favorites list for her!We also did a little study of the countries of Nicaragua and Panama, so we have covered all of Central America in our social studies now. We are sadly behind in our Eating the Americas project, however. There are lots of good recipe ideas we've collected, so it's just a matter of getting to them.
Kennady is also continuing to work on Art and Music; she is still working on learning French (with Mango Languages - look for our review here on Monday!); and we started working on a Bible study this week.
Science remains the one course where I really do have to prod the kids to work on it. There's parts they like (such as watching the video segments on the Supercharged Science website) but it's not a favorite subject.
In other news... Although it seemed that we were insanely busy, everything went pretty much according to plan this week. Monday evening was my homeschool group's Moms night, and we had a recent homeschool graduate join us to share information about CLEP testing. We had a lot of fun and it was very informative as well.
On Friday my allergies kicked in and I spent my day sneezing, sniffling, and sleeping. And when I say "sleeping", what I really mean is that I took a benadryl in the afternoon and was rendered mostly unconscious. On the plus side, I did get some relief from the sneezing! I did manage to get a bunch of pies made to celebrate Pi Day though!

Allergies are no fun! My crew is having a time as well.
I'm looking forward to checking out your list of favorite convention speakers since I'm headed to GHC next week.
