Random 5 on Friday: Schoolwork, Ice, and Hockey

The Pebble Pond

I'm doing a quick Random 5 on Friday (a link hosted at The Pebble Pond) post before we head out the door for the VBS picnic!
  1. Considering everything we're busy with, and the fact that it is summer, we did have a fairly productive week with school.
  2. In certain situations at the Maryland MVA, your valid state ID is not accepted as a valid form of ID by the very agency that issued the valid state ID. Government bureaucracy at its finest.
  3. The ice-maker in our fridge randomly stopped working, which is quite annoying. Especially when I want to brew iced tea.
  4. I finished reading Scott Stapp's biography, Sinner's Creed. I started working on writing a review of the book at Just A Second but it's not posted yet. It should be there soon though!
  5. This is my hubby's hockey tournament weekend - you gotta love the name of their league and tournament: Old Fat Bald Guys. :-)
I recommend... checking out the reviews of HomeSchoolPiano as Crew members post them at the Schoolhouse Review Crew blog.  Our own review of this wonderful program should appear in the next couple of days.

The Crew Round-up this week focused on Free Printables. And there's still time to get in on the Crew Giveaway of the Victus Study Skills System!

A parting shot... we parted with a few things that I took to the local auction this week, including this spring horse. He looks like he's enjoying his bouncy ride down a country road in the back of the truck!
