In our homeschool . . . we were hard at work again this week! For Landon that meant knocking out a bunch of History and Science; and for Kennady it meant a lot of reading and working on some of the things we'll be reviewing in upcoming weeks. She spent a fair amount of time on Science as well, and focused on her Math Mini-Courses from A+ Tutorsoft that we'll be reviewing next week.

Our other upcoming reviews include:
Book and Unit Study - Heroes of History: Orville Wright from YWAM Publishers
ARTistic Pursuits book Sculpture Technique Model
Kwik Stix from The Pencil Grip, Inc.

In other news . . . the hubster was out of town this week, so our schedule was a little different in that mealtimes were much more flexible! Also I slept a few minutes later each morning. We really didn't have much extra time in the evenings though, with choir rehearsals, worship team rehearsals, and all of that.

Last Saturday, I took Landon and a friend to a concert near Baltimore. The concert was great, with four bands playing, but while we were waiting to get in - it started snowing!! Not exactly April weather, but whatever.

So Kennady has been on crutches all week. Good times, good times. But it's not broken, and the sprain isn't that bad so even today she was hobbling about without using the crutches.

These photos are actually from Civil Air Patrol last week, but I forgot to share them from my phone.

The hubster got home yesterday and today he is back at work, Landon is at HersheyPark with a group from church, and I putzed around town while Kennady was at choral rehearsal. I've got our entry way all ready to paint, but I guess we might not be starting on that today after all.

A parting shot . . . Kennady claims this is the actual size of the spider that kept crawling across her biology book one day this week. Seems the spider had been lying in wait inside the book . . . on the first page of the insects and arachnids chapter. True story. I guess science really came to life for Kennady this week . . .

Kym, my son would have been DELIGHTED to find a spider that big in his history book. :) would have come running to show me and I would have promptly said "Outside, put it OUTSIDE"

Glad to hear it's just a sprain and not a break.
