Welcome to another edition of the Virtual Refrigerator! This weekly art link-up is co-hosted by Homeschool Coffee Break, Every Bed of Roses, Raventhreads, and This Day Has Great Potential. We all cordially invite you to add your link sharing the art that's on your Virtual Refrigerator and then hop over to the other blogs and admire what's on their Fridges!
Next week we'll be sharing our review of Kwik Stix, which are quick drying paints that work sort of like markers. When Kennady first started working with them, she tried putting a wash of different colors on a canvas to see how bright the colors were, and what she might be able to do as far as blending them. As you can see, the colors are quite bright, but because the paints dry quickly, she couldn't blend. She saved these sample canvases because they had great potential as background pieces.

While working through the Orville Wright book and study (which we reviewed earlier this week - see Orville Wright - The Flyer.) she found a good use for one of the quotes included. She happened to choose one that I thought was appropriate for the canvas too:
Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. ~Robert Collier

She was concerned that the white text didn't stand out clearly enough, but I thought it was fine.
She also chose a couple of other quotes that she liked, and made herself posters featuring them.
