I haven't done a final draft of next year's curriculum line-up, but I guess it's coming soon! In the meantime, I've looked back over some of the high school level curriculum we've really enjoyed. Many of these will be used in the upcoming school year.
Here are a few of our favorite things:
Resources from IEW get high praise in our homeschool. We reviewed Fix It! Grammar along with Student Writing Intensive Level C and continued to use both. In fact, Fix-It! Grammar is such a fun and painless way to learn and review grammar that Kennady will continue with it this coming year. I wish we'd known to start it way back when!
More recently, we reviewed another all-ages resource from IEW that we really enjoyed: Linguistic Development through Poetry Memorization. It's something fun that doesn't take a ton of time, and Kennady and I are working on poetry memorization together.
Exploring World History and Exploring America (both from Notgrass) are long-time favorites of ours, with all three of my boys using both of them during their high school years. Now it's Kennady's turn. She will be studying World History in the upcoming school year, and American History in the following year. I'm especially looking forward to it, as I'm hoping that maybe - just maybe - I'll be able to keep up with reading the entire text along with her, and perhaps some of the novels too!
Cultural Geography has been a great choice as well. Kennady did this over two years (her 8th and 9th grade years) but BJUPress designates it as a 9th Grade course. We added some extras, most notably from a favorite supplement, Geography Through Art.
Landon got his fine arts credit thanks to an online percussion course we reviewed - DrumsWithWillie. This was likely his favorite ever review product so a special thank you to the Schoolhouse Review Crew for setting us up with this! He still refers to the lessons now that he is about to take over the job of regular percussionist on my church worship team.
Another review that was a winner for Landon was VideoText Algebra and it's possible that Kennady will use it too. Still thinking about that, and if it will be a good fit for her. Either way, I highly recommend it!
The Power in Your Hands from Writing with Sharon Watson is something we just got our hands on this summer. We'll be sharing our full review this week, but here's a spoiler alert: We really like it; it's a great fit for our homeschool; and we're going to use it full-time in the upcoming school year.

I have had my eye on a couple of these and a couple of them we really like, especially the Poetry Memorization. We will definitely continue that one this fall. Good things to look at. Thanks! - Lori
OH! Good reminder, I need to do up a post on this as well! :) That geography course intrigues..
Ah. We use many of these as well. :-)
