In our homeschool . . . We had another relatively relaxed week, working a little on CTC Math and concentrating mostly on Geography. I have been working on getting curriculum, lesson plans, and work areas ready for the new school year, but I have much left to do!
In other news . . . Since we didn't really have anything going on last weekend, the hubster and I decided to celebrate our anniversary a day early by going out for dinner with the kids on Sunday evening. We all love Buca di Beppo and it has been awhile since we were there, so it was a fun outing for all of us.
During this week, the boys only worked a couple of days each, and Kennady didn't have to babysit, so we got some work done around the house. The kids did get to the county fair on a couple of occasions as well.

I recommend . . . the 5 Days of Homeschool 101 blog hop, which is on all next week! Starting on Monday, visit the Schoolhouse Review Crew blog and all the participating bloggers as we discuss Curriculum, Planning, Home Management, and more as we anticipate the start of a new school year.
On my blog last week . . .

A parting shot . . . Another keepsake I acquired when cleaning at my sister-in-law's house as they prepared to move. Oddly, I lived in Calgary during the 1988 Winter Games but never picked up a souvenir coffee mug. Since the Rio games start today, I thought it appropriate to share.
I will be linking up at the Weekly Wrap-Up hosted by Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers, and at Christian Fellowship Weekend hosted by Biblical Womanhood.
The Homeschool Mother's Journal hosted by NextGenHomeschool has been on hiatus this summer, but I think they'll be back this weekend so I'll link up there if I'm right about that.
"My Week in Review" hosted by Lisa at Home to 4 Kiddos is also on a break, because her family's home was severely damaged in a fire several weeks ago. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. Information on how you can help them if you feel so led can be found here on her blog: Blessing for the Boyle Family.
