Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. If you'd like to pick a favorite post from your week that spotlights a resource or activity in your homeschool that you'd like to tell others about, we're interested in those too. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope this will be a source of encouragement and good ideas for all of us.
Homeschool news . . . We are officially on Thanksgiving break this week, so I didn't plan on doing much school. She worked on History and Algebra at the beginning of the week, and did some of her homework for co-op classes. We took a few things along on our little vacation, and hopefully will get a little bit done.
Other news . . . Saturday was busy, as Kennady and I went to a friend's open house in the morning, and then headed into town for a chorus rehearsal. It was the dress rehearsal for a concert celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. The concert was on Sunday afternoon, and was beautiful.
Monday and Tuesday were fairly ordinary days, but the rest of the week has been Thanksgiving break as we traveled to Canada for a few days.

Happy Thanksgiving!
On my blogs last week . . .
And on my book blog, Just A Second:
Just A Second is where I share book reviews and other book-related things, and update on what's on my bookshelf. This week I finished 31 Proverbs to Light Your Path by Liz Curtis Higgs, which I'll review soon, and I've been reading:
The Sound of Rain by Sarah Loudin Thomas
Isaiah's Daughter: A Novel of Prophets and Kings by Mesu Andrews
India Black (A Madam of Espionage Mystery) by Carol K. Carr
A parting shot . . .

We took the week off for Thanksgiving as well. We didn't have much planned but we were all feeling like we needed a break and I figured that was the perfect week for it.
Sounds like a good week! I hope you share photos from your Canada trip.
What a neat concert. Happy Thanksgiving!
