Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. If you'd like to pick a favorite post from your week that spotlights a resource or activity in your homeschool that you'd like to tell others about, we're interested in those too. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope this will be a source of encouragement and good ideas for all of us.

Grab a cup of coffee and let's get started!

Sorry this is so late posting today! This has been a crazy week, and today was an especially crazy busy day at work. Here's a summary of how the week went for us:

Homeschool news  . . . Well, last week was essentially a vacation week, so you'd think that we would get a lot done this week. You'd think that, but it's not necessarily what happens in our real world. Turns out this week was pretty crazy busy, but Kennady did knock out a bunch of History, managed to get all her co-op homework done (just under the wire!), and even worked on Algebra. That last one, only because I nagged and threatened a bit.

Other news . . .  So we were in Canada visiting family through the weekend. For the most part a relaxing and low-key trip. Naturally we did a bit of stocking up on some favorite Canadian foods, and hubby got a new hockey stick.

Favorite chocolate bar.

Favorite store.

We headed home on Sunday and were all back to work and school on Monday.

Monday and Tuesday evenings were my choir's concerts. Kennady came along on Monday, but on Tuesday she had her own chorus rehearsal to go to. Landon had a somewhat slow week at work, which gave us a bit of relief when it came to juggling vehicles.

The hubster had a birthday this week, but with our very busy schedules, the celebration has been subdued and a bit spread out. In fact, tonight we'll finally have his birthday (cheese)cake!

I feel like each week is flying by faster than the last! I keep trying to find a way to slow it down and enjoy some peace and quiet but I just don't think that's how our month is going to go.

We had the same kind of week, where it should have been productive yet could not quite manage it. Sounds like you all had a really hectic week and need a rest now :)
