Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. If you'd like to pick a favorite post from your week that spotlights a resource or activity in your homeschool that you'd like to tell others about, we're interested in those too. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope this will be a source of encouragement and good ideas for all of us.
Grab a cup of coffee and let's get started!
Obviously, I needed a Washington Capitals Stanley Cup Champions mug!
Homeschool news . . . We spent some time this week plugging away at Algebra and History, and that will continue until both are completed. I've been working on some lesson planning for next year - just a little here and there. And I completed my final year-end evaluation too.
Other news . . . On Saturday the church had a yard sale, so the guys all helped out there. Kennady and I stopped in for a bit, mostly so she could buy up some records!
Other than the unexpected heavy rain, this week has been pretty low-key overall. I had a Homeschool Moms Night Out on Monday evening, and a couple of appointments during the week. We also had worship team practice on Wednesday, following one of the last youth activities for the summer. I'll be changing up my work schedule a bit during the summer, so it will be interesting to see how that will work out.

What's Coming Up . . .
I'm reviewing an art history course called The Master and His Apprentices. Look for my review at the end of this month.
And next month I'll share my review of Math Refresher for Adults from Math Essentials.

I recommend . . . trying SchoolhouseTeachers.com for just $5 in your first month. Use the coupon code JUNEBUG at checkout, and get a head start on the 2018-2019 school year.
On my blogs last week . . .
Here on Homeschool Coffee Break:
Flag Day 2018
Virtual Refrigerator - Pure As Gold
From the High School Lesson Book - A Year-End Summary
And on my book blog, Just A Second:
What I'm Reading - June 11, 2018
Scripture and a Snapshot - A Joyful Heart
Recent Reads - The Captured Bride
Just A Second is where I share book reviews and other book-related things, and update on what's on my bookshelf. This week I reviewed The Captured Bride: Daughters of the Mayflower - book 3 by Michelle Griep, which I finished last week, and I've been reading:
Delilah: Treacherous Beauty by Angela Hunt
A Brush with Shadows (A Lady Darby Mystery) by Anna Lee Huber
A parting shot . . . I got new lanterns for the deck. I like them. Kennady keeps saying they're "ominous".

It's nice to have a low-key week every now and then. I'll be back to link up my weekly wrap- up tomorrow since I didn't get to post it today.
Love the mug! I was cheering them on. Ovie is fantastic.
