Welcome to Homeschool Highlights!
This weekly link-up is your opportunity to share some highlights of what is happening in your homeschool and in your world each week. If you write a wrap-up post at the end of each week, like I've been doing, we'd love to see what you're busy with from week to week. If you'd like to pick a favorite post from your week that spotlights a resource or activity in your homeschool that you'd like to tell others about, we're interested in those too. I'm keeping the guidelines as simple as I can, and they will appear at the bottom of each post, along with the link tool. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope this will be a source of encouragement and good ideas for all of us.
Homeschool news . . . As the title says, we were crazy busy this week! A lot of the busy-ness was related to school, so it's not all bad. There was plenty of homework for co-op that Kennady had to work on, and I had the lessons to prepare and some papers to grade. Plus some schoolwork to do on our own and a Homeschool Moms Night Out for me to attend.
Other news . . . I rushed home from work on Friday and as quickly as we could, we headed out the door for the UpRise Festival, a Christian music weekend event about an hour from us. We had a long wait to get in the gate, but still had a great evening listening to Crowder, Toby Mac, and Casting Crowns. We got home late, got some sleep, and headed out on Saturday morning for Day Two which featured bands like Disciple, Red, Family Force 5, Ledger, Newsboys, and Skillet. (Crowder and Skillet are special favorites in our family!)
Another late night home, and we led worship in church on Sunday morning. Needless to say, we were all in need of a nap on Sunday afternoon! The hubster's hockey league started up for the fall season on Sunday evening, and during this week we've had work, chorus, CAP, co-op, church activities, and more. I even worked an extra day, which made the whole week feel even busier! And with everything I had to do, I joked that I wasn't planning to sleep until Saturday afternoon sometime. More true than you know.

Since it's been so busy, and today is no different, I'm cutting the Highlights post just a little bit short!
