I'm determined to get all the rest of the Disney photos into this post! Our second Disney day was spent at Hollywood Studios.
And riding the Tower of Terror was pretty much the first thing we did there!
There's a lot of Star Wars themed stuff at Hollywood Studios these days, from parades to rides to the fireworks show. The new Star Wars "land" is still under construction though. I can't even remember when it's scheduled to open.
The other big draw is the relatively new Toy Story Land. We loved this area - fun for any age!
The Green Army Men conducted Let's Play drills throughout the day and they were pretty entertaining.

We had lunch at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. The food was delicious, and Kennady decided she needed a kids drink so she could have a light-up Buzz Lightyear.
Our favorite roller coaster - the Aerosmith Rockin' Roller Coaster!
The biggest highlight of the day was when hubby was chosen from the audience to be an extra in the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular! We've seen this show every time we've been at Disney World, and he's always wanted to be an extra. Well, this time he got to live the dream!
He was even the guy chosen to do the death scene!
Day Three was Animal Kingdom. We took our selfie in front of the Tree of Life, although we never actually made it into the tree for the Bugs Life show.
There's a new area called Pandora that is based on the movie Avatar. The Fastpasses for these rides were all gone, so we stood in line for at least an hour to get on the Na'vi River Journey. We kept an eye on the wait time for the other ride, Flight of Passage, during the day and headed over when it seemed reasonable. Reasonable for us turned out to be two hours!! I've heard some people have waited for three hours or more, so I guess we can't complain. Once we got on the ride we did not complain at all! We all agreed it's probably the best ride we've ever been on. And it's not even a roller coaster!
We caught the Lion King musical show . . .
played some hand drums,
and went on the Dinosaur ride. Kennady loved this one, and it got genuine jump scares and screams out of us too!
We loved the Expedition Everest ride, and Kennady and her dad rode it a second time.
We even had pretty good luck on the safari ride and saw a lot of animals, including the zebra that came right alongside the jeep.
And finally, EPCOT! Turns out the Food and Wine Festival was on during the time we were there, so we had tons of extra food choices!
The boat ride at Mexico is still a favorite.
The ride at Norway has been updated and now has a Frozen theme.

Kennady was not enthused about seeing the America movie, but she did love the a capella singing!
"Hallo, I'm ringing you from Great Britain at EPCOT" |
a little piece of home - Canada |
Never too old to enjoy Turtle Talk with Crush either.
We never did figure out the reason, but some of my photos at EPCOT were "smeary" like this. I thought it was a nice effect for the fireworks photo though!

That new Toy Story area looks so fun and I have been DYING to check out the Avatar world/ride. I hear that area glows at night too just like in the movie.
