Quick update

Update on Harrison - he did very well in surgery, although it did take him quite awhile to wake up and feel mobile and such afterwards.  He was in surgery for something like 2 or 2 1/2 hours.  The surgeon said he did well, and we see him for follow-up first thing in the morning.  In recovery, Harrison complained of headache and that his eye hurt very badly (big surprise, huh) and was very reluctant to wake up.  When he thought he was ready to sit up, he felt very nauseous so the nurse gave him something for that in the IV, and then we had to wait for that to go through his system.  Then we got him upright and he was in lots of pain, so they put some pain med in the IV - which also sedated him again.  So we waited some more while he slept.  Then we were finally ready to take him home - got home about 7pm.

More after we see the surgeon for follow-up!

An update! Here it is! =D

I'm so glad he made it through the surgery and even more I'm glad that it's out of the way!

Hoping he has a speedy recovery. It's no fun for the little ones to have to slow down and heal. =(
