June's Art Challenge: Rainbows
After April shower and May flowers, we'll be looking for artwork that features Rainbows! Please continue to share any art posts on our Virtual Fridge - we love seeing all of them!
Those new art marker the Resident Artist acquired recently have been getting a workout. First in random sketches, and since last Thursday in a coloring book. Not just any coloring book, but this very grown-up coloring book, Enchanted Forest.
I'd seen some of the buzz about the coloring books for adults on Facebook, but hadn't paid a great deal of attention, but when I noticed them in the art museum shop, I pointed out the display to Kennady. And just like that, she knew exactly what she wanted as a memento of our visit.
We had a homeschool moms night out earlier this week, and I had Kennady show her new coloring book to everyone. It was a hit and many expressed the wish that they had bought one too. One suggested that this kind of coloring book would be a wonderful gift for a teen or adult who is hospitalized and in need of something interesting to do while confined to bed. She's a cancer survivor, so she would know.
