July's Art Challenge: Red/Independence Day
During the month of July, the Virtual Fridge will be featuring artwork with red as a prominent color, and artwork that celebrates Independence Day. Please continue to share any art posts on our Virtual Fridge - we love seeing all of them!
If you've visited my blog more than a few times, you've probably caught on that I am rather fond of Canada. The hubster and I are both Canadians, and although we have lived in the USA for more than twenty years and are proud to be American citizens, of course we still love the Great White North!
Yesterday, July 1st, was Canada Day, and because the Canadian flag is red and white, my Virtual Fridge is displaying two versions of the flag that Kennady made yesterday. (Did you know Kennady is named for her dad's favorite hockey team, the Canadiens? It's true.)
Kennady also made something for Independence Day, but I'm going to save that for next week's Fridge!
O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
