Everywhere we look lately the theme seems to be "Back to School" and whether we're excited or apprehensive or somewhere in between, getting our year started is on the minds of many homeschoolers as well. The Homeschool Review Crew is gearing up for our annual Back to School event - a blog hop that will take place next week, August 14 - 18.
I've been putting together lesson plans for our homeschool and for our new co-op class. We're trying to figure out what our weekly schedule will look like. I'm getting the last few items on our supply and book list purchased. And I'm thinking about the big picture of what we'll need to accomplish this year. So, along with the other Homeschool Crew members, I'll be sharing some of those plans and preparations in the Back to School Blog Hop. We invite you to join us for plenty of different perspectives on curriculum and planning, and for some encouragement and advice for a great year.
Each day of the Blog Hop will have a theme to focus on.
Monday - We'll talk curriculum and resources, what we're using, and some of our favorites.
Tuesday - Homeschoolers love papers and pencils and school supplies of all kinds!
Wednesday - Find out how Crew members do their planning and record keeping.
Thursday - We'll discuss the education we do outside our homes. There are co-ops, support groups, apprenticeships, clubs, and some interesting electives.
Friday - We wrap up our Back to School week by writing open letters of encouragement to homeschool parents.
Join me next week for 5 Days of Back to Homeschool Coffee Breaks. As we go along I'll add links to the individual posts here, so feel free to bookmark this page.
Check in at the Homeschool Review Crew Blog for more info, and the hub to find all the 5 Days of Back to School posts.
